Solid PDF Tools is a complex software
application which enables you to perform an array of actions with PDF
documents, such as create, modify and combine them, scan items to this
format or convert them to other file types.
The installation process does not bring any
surprises and upon its completion, you are greeted by a user-friendly
interface. In addition to that, it is comprised of several shortcut
buttons, a menu bar and a panel in which to display all the files you
are processing.
If you connect a scanner to your computer, this
utility enables you to scan documents and save them to the hard drive as
PDFs, DOC, RTF or DOCX.
It is possible to access options such as zoom in and
out, undo or redo actions, copy, cut, paste and delete elements, but
also others more complex, such as inserting watermarks. They can be a
user-input text, an item from the built-in list or a file from your
computer, in a formats such as PDF, BMP, GIF, JPG, PCX, PNG, TIF and
PDF.
Conversion is available from PDF to DOCX, RTF, DOC,
XML, XLSX, HTML, TXT, BMP, JPG, TIF and GIF, while extracting particular
pages can be done, by specifying which ones to grab as separate files.
Toolbars and commands can be shown or hidden, rotating or inserting
pages is also available, while Help contents are provided, both online
and offline.
CPU and memory usage is minimal, regardless of the
action taken by the user, and response time is good. Taking all of this
